Holiness is very essential when fulfilling God's kingdom assignments, whether it's ministry, missional outreach, service, or any other area of life where believers are called to be a light in the world. Living a holy life demonstrates God's power and influence, impacting others and expanding the kingdom.

Good Ideas, Faith and Work

Everything that exists is considered to be created by God, meaning that all of reality, including the universe, life, and everything within it, originates from and is sustained by God’s existence; essentially, nothing exists outside of God’s creation.

According to John 1:1-3, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made”. The Word refers to Jesus Christ, described as a pre-existent divine being who was present at the very beginning of creation. With God emphasizes that Jesus was not just a created being, but existed alongside with God.  Through him all things were made, and this verse signifies that Jesus was the active agent in creation, responsible for everything that exists.

Also, we find in Hebrew 11:3, “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible”. Therefore, we understand that the words of God created the universe so that things that are seen came from things that were unseen”.  In essence, this verse means that through faith, we believe the universe was created by God’s word, signifying that the visible world we see came into existence from something that was not physically visible, essentially “out of nothing” through God’s command.

It’s very clear, that which is visible came from the invisible. It is also important to be aware that God always had everything which could not be seen and everything that mankind has done starts in the invisible state.

Although, Hebrews 11, the scripture says that things are unseen, but it did not say nonexistent. They are simply not seen yet. Therefore, God had the entire universe inside of Him, but you could not see it. This fact is one of the reasons why God is described as omnipotent, meaning all potential is in God. Therefore, everything that is or will be is in God. If you want to understand anything you will need to understand where it came from.

As recorded in Mark 11:24, which says, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours”. In essence, if you pray with genuine faith, believing that your request will be answered, then it will be granted. The core idea is that faith is crucial, your belief in the power of prayer is essential for receiving what you ask for as long as the request is aligned with God’s will and not just personal desires.

In Mark 9:23, “All things are possible for the one who believes,” meaning that the ability to achieve something is tied to faith, not just having a good idea alone.  God never told us that all things are possible to those who have a good idea. While having a good plan can be helpful, the Bible highlights the power of belief and reliance on God’s will. To believe means to commit oneself or abandon oneself to something no matter what it costs.
In Genesis2:2, God worked to get the invisible to become visible and then He rested. It is exactly the same thing all those who pray with genuine faith have to do.

This is also consistent with James 2:14-26, which explained that a faith that doesn’t lead to action is ineffective and doesn’t demonstrate genuine belief. In this passage, Apostle James is not saying that works save us, but rather that works demonstrate the genuineness of our faith.  He uses examples like Abraham, who was justified by his actions by obeying God’s command to sacrifice Isaac, and Rahab, who was justified by her actions when she hides the spies to illustrate that faith and works are intertwined. Her act of faith, demonstrated through her actions, led to her salvation.

Similarly, we cannot just confess things into being, we have to work also. There is nothing wrong to have big or good  ideas, but it’s also essential to work them out and believing that the prayer request will be answered.
